Warm and Welcoming Winter Break

Winter Break is next week! I can’t believe that we only have one semester of school left; The year has gone by so quickly. It’s really odd because it doesn’t feel like December, considering how warm it has been lately. Despite being the end of the semester, thankfully this week isn’t looking too jam packed for me. I have only two quizzes this week, one of which was completed today. Last week, I turned in my Original Work project. The original plan was to make a neural network for image recognition, but I ended up just making a model using python, since I decided that I didn't have a strong enough background in python yet to make a neural network. I am still really happy with my progress in python, bioinformatics and AI so far, and with the way my project came out. We have Original Work peer reflections due this week. That should be exciting, because I get to see what my classmates have been up to. Even from the research speeches, I found it really interesting to find out about what they had been working on in terms of their topic. I also have to post my digital portfolio link on Canvas, because we will also be evaluating digital portfolios. I actually need to do a lot of updating on my digital portfolio, since there are some things that I haven’t added yet. I need to make sure blog posts are up to date, and especially all of my assessments, because they definitely haven’t been posted yet. This week will just be wrapping up the semester, and then it’s time for winter break! I hope winter break will be as fulfilling, exciting and relaxing as I have been hoping it would be.
