We are just getting started

I completed my first assignments in ISM last week, including the first blog post and the first assessment. My assessment was about the future uses of AI in the medical field. The article I picked out was long, although very informative. The article discussed how AI could be implemented in 4 different specialties of medicine: radiology, pathology, cardiology and ophthalmology. I selected this article to get a glimpse of what I could be studying this year, and I think studying AI is a good option for me, because it is something that I am interested in. I also think that more specifically, studying AI as it pertains to the medical field would be better suited for me. I want to do something in medicine as a career later on, so I think this would be a great choice. The only thing I worry about is being able to find a mentor in such a specific topic. The Labor Day weekend was nice and it allowed me to get a head start on some homework for other classes as well. The second assessment is due this Friday, and I haven’t really thought about what I should write about. I will have to search up some topics and hopefully that should help. My goal for this week is to start contacting professionals for interviews. I will work diligently to get these things done on time. I will update my progress once again next week!
